Who we Are
Ambassador Church is a vibrant, Christian community based in Chicago’s southland, committed to spiritual renewal and social transformation. Relaunched in Fall 2024 from Chicago Embassy Church Network, we’ve transitioned from a traditional church model to a missional network—inspired by the early church’s dynamic, adaptable gatherings that shaped the Roman Empire from within.
Like those first believers, we are building purpose-driven communities centered on the teachings of Jesus, rooted in apostolic faith, and active in our neighborhoods. This community takes on diverse forms—from house gatherings to public spaces—united by a shared mission: to embody the Gospel, break down barriers, and invite others into a transformative relationship with God.
At Ambassador Church, we believe we are called to be Ambassadors for Christ—bringing hope, healing, and purpose to every corner of the Chicago Southland and beyond!
Our Story
Ambassador Church is the inspiring outcome of the merger between two distinct and vibrant faith communities: River Oaks Community Church, a multi-cultural community church based in South Holland, and an urban church deeply focused on evangelism and leadership development. This union brought together diverse strengths and shared passions, birthing a dynamic missional regional church. By combining River Oaks’ rich heritage of cultural diversity and community engagement with the urban church’s robust emphasis on evangelistic outreach and leadership training, Ambassador Church has been uniquely positioned to serve as a beacon of hope and transformation in Chicago’s Southland. This merger embodies our commitment to unity, growth, and mission, enabling us to better fulfill our calling to help individuals find their purpose and live on mission with Jesus.
