Demetra “Deme” Jackson believes that the Lord has called every generation to Himself and desires an intimate relationship with each one. Her passion for serving in the Next Gen Ministry stems from a deep commitment to helping youth and young adults begin—or continue—their journey of learning about Jesus. She sees them as uniquely equipped to share the Gospel in their everyday spaces—schools, workplaces, neighborhoods, and beyond.
Deme spent four years as an early childhood educator and another four years as a nanny, dedicating much of her early twenties to working with children. Teaching and pouring into the next generation has always been close to her heart. Though stepping into ministry initially felt intimidating, she was incredibly grateful when God opened the door for her to serve first as Youth Coordinator and now as the Next Gen Coordinator. These roles have allowed her to live out her calling to help children and young adults grow in their faith and understanding of God.
In addition to her ministry work, Deme is also a professional actor. Her experience in theater—where empathy and understanding others’ stories are essential—has enriched her ability to connect with young people on a meaningful level. Whether on stage or in ministry, Deme is passionate about meeting people where they are and pointing them toward Jesus.
